Nvidia Tegra K1 to power the latest Acer touchscreen Chromebook ( 2063 Comments)
With a move that has become expected of Acer, they are is putting a wide array of options for the latest Acer Chromebook on offer. Almost at the same time that Samsung decided to leave the European laptop market, a touchscreen variant of the latest Acer Chromebook is being put on the laptop market in the United Kingdom.
The company was the first to implement the Nvidia Tegra K1 chip in a Chromebook and it appears that Acer wants to add touchscreen functionality too. The Acer Chromebook Pixel has touchscreen as well and I can tell you it is very user-friendly.
For the time being it appears the touchscreen Chromebook is only offered in the United Kingdom. Even though Acer has built a solid following with a wide variety of Chromebook options, I wouldn’t be surprised to see even wider availability. It also makes me think why Acer is targeting the United Kingdom when Samsung has made the financial decision to stop marketing the device in Europe altogether.
